I think that the average high school game might not be as exciting as a college/minor/pro equivalent, but state tournaments are awesome, affordable, and often last a whole day, giving it a really memorable event feel.

Of course, they don't come around that often.

In my state, you can watch eight basketball games in one day at the Tacoma Dome for around $10. Of course, you have to sit in the middle of the dome, because there's a boys' and girls' game going on at the same time on each side of a huge divider.

I know that I like enjoying a game every now and then at the best minor league franchise, the Trenton Thunder. I get to pay only $8 dollars to sit back at a intimate stadium where there's not a bad seat in the house, located right on the Delaware River and watch future Yankee trade bait in the making.

A number of people subscribe to various premium news sources (rivals, scout, espn insider) to stay current on their favorite teams and athletes.  I've always questioned the need to pay for information that is probably freely available elsewhere, although I realize that knowing where to find that content can often be a challenge.  As an alternative, pulls together content from various sources across the web to provide a simple and free resource for staying current on the latest sports buzz.

Why not find other avenues of entertainment?
There are all kinds of events that are going on at the same time.

How many people are going to afford to go to the Super Bowl with the lowest

      ticket at $ 500.00.

Greeting CEO and Loan Company have learned their lesson, just maybe so will

      Major League Clubs.

A good test will have to be the new Cowboy Stadium schedule to open next year.

But they only charge because people will pay no matter what, so I not sure who is at fault.

Buy a HDTV and invite friends over. The TV pays for itself in one season and you have spent time with friends. Just make sure you are rooting for the same team.

This is perhaps the dumbest article yet on how to cope with the nation's financial crisis.   If you can't afford it, don't go to the game.  Don't buy a HDTV when your 401k is a wreck, live with ESPN.  Oh and about the kids, it's called reading a book!

If you were waiting until now to save, it's too late.  Those that took advantage of the upswing will surely benefit from the current situation as the market overflows with bargains.

This is a different angle to save, both libs and cons like it.
I spoke with my car insurance agent. She likes it too but she says that the companies wont like it! Whats new they never like to help consumers save $ anyways.
Here it is. It pertains to families that have two cars -
On weekends if no family members work which is the case for many families, one car sits for the weekend and the other car continues its insurance coverage. The "sitter car" probably sits most the time anyways. So in conclusion the "sitter car" would be insured for 8 less days a month.
Thats a considerable savings for families that would be able to use this idea! Time to get on the companies and demand "sitter car coverage"! I have more ideas Im working on! Its plain and simple!

Do you really want to know how to get your money's worth and at the same time bring the prices for tickets back down.

STOP buying tickets to any professional sporting event. Because of all the fans that want to identify with this team or that team of overpaid whinney ass's, stop giving them a reason to keep asking for more money.

When the price for a ticket is back in the reasonable range, then go Identify yourself.
