The Big Unit is heading home to the Bay Area.
Randy Johnson and the San Francisco Giants agreed to a one-year contract Friday, meaning the 45-year-old pitcher will go for his 300th win with a new team.

Perhaps my favorite pitcher of all time and I hope he can last another season.
Mine too. I remember when he broke in with the Padres...hit the backstop every third pitch. The look of fear on the batters' faces was hysterical.
LOL ABD3!
Try this on for size. Notice how far Kruk stands back in the box...he might as well have stood in the dugout box after the first pitch...

I hope his Mom wasn't in the stands.
He is great, but what a crap team.
Way to go Giants! Having the "Big Unit" hit the magic 300 as a Giant is a priceless ad coup. Once again the Mafiaoso DBack management blew the chance to do something right by shunning Randy Johnson.
It's a one-year deal so it won't hurt the progress of what is already identified as one of the top young pitching staffs in the NL. Plus, it gives Brian Sabean a little flexibility in dealing for some offensive help at the corner infield. The NL West isn't exactly a juggernaut division and adding a solid, albeit short-term, starter and possible a decent bat might just give the Giants the 86-88 wins it'll take to win it. I mean, somebody has to win that division... what's that you say, "The Dodgers"??? BWWWAAAAAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH.
Thats fine he left, I'm glad he's GONE !! He's the biggest crybaby ever !! He's past his prime, When he starts a game you can be sure your team is behind after the 1st inning.
you can say whatever you want, past his prime is still way better than most pitchers.
Way to go Giants!
